Cheated on Your Healthy Diet this Festive Season? - We Got Your Back!

Festivals bring lots of fun, lots of animation, but, lots of unhealthiness too. Apart from the delicious food that we get to eat, we also eat varieties of sweets, packets of chocolates, and whatnot. All of it ultimately means that we cheat on our healthy diets, and gain a few unhealthy pounds, along with an irregular workout routine. So how exactly can you come back on track with your diet? What are the lifestyle changes you can make? And what foods will help you shed the extra kilos? All of these questions are answered in the blog below - 


  • DETOX WITH ESSENTIAL OILS -

There's nothing better than a good essential oils’ detox. Thanks to the purifying, draining and detoxifying properties of some essential oils, aromatherapy is an effective solution to eliminate toxins and restore your body’s energy.


  1. Lemon Essential Oil - Thanks to its citrus properties, lemon essential oil is great to detixofy your body from within. You can either add a few drops of it to a diffuser for aromatherapy. Or you can add a few drops to bath water, and take a relaxing bath. If the lemon essential oil you are using is edible, you can also add 1-2 drops to a glass of water and enjoy the refreshingly detoxifying drink.
  2. Tea Tree Oil - Though, it is not edible like lemon essential oil, tea tree oil can be used for aromatherapy and bathing purposes. It’s refreshing aroma relaxes upset stomach, diarhhea, nausea, and uneasiness. 
  3. Orange Oil - Add a few drops of orange essential oil to a glass of normal/cold water. You can also add a pinch of sugar to make it taste better. This drink detoxifies your body, while also uplifitng your mood and spirits. 

  • FRESHEN-UP WITH NUTS - 

  1. Fox Nuts - Light to eat, easy to digest - fox nuts can be your easy mid-meal snack after the festive season. They are widely cultivated in Asia, fox nuts have also been used in traditional medicine, thanks to their amazing nutritional value and health benefits. Being rich in calcium, magnesium, they are helpful in weight loss, improving heart health, stabilizing blood sugar levels, and regulating cholesterol levels.
  2. Soya Nuts - High in protein and fiber, Soya Nuts should be your definite pick for a faster, easier, and healthier snack. Being a natural source of protein, it is easily absorbed by the body, hence preventing risks of gut uneasiness and congestion. The fibers soy nuts provide are extremely beneficial in improving overall gut health and regulating blood sugar levels. Another amazing quality of soy nuts is how light-weighted they are, which makes them a greatly healthy mid-day snack. 

  • SAY HELLO TO SEEDS -

Sunflower Seed Roasted - Several studies have found out that sunflower seeds can play a tremendous role in improving our immune system, regulating heart health, increasing energy levels, and preventing cardiovascular diseases. These seeds can be eaten raw, roasted, or mixed with a dish of your choice. 
  3. Chia Seed - The morning after the festival is always heavy on your stomach. To make sure you don’t bloat or get diarhhea, pick chia seeds for one of your meals. You can make a chia seeds smoothie, pudding, or milkshake. Being rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, they are great for regulating blood pressure, improving immunity, controlling weight, improve heart health, and reducing inflammation.
