Neem is favored by all. It is good for your skin, your hair, and your internal health as well. Neem’s benefits are so many that containing it in one single blog isn’t really possible. Extracted from the leaves, barks, buds, stems, and fruits of the Neem plant is Neem Oil, which is highly effective in targeting and treating several illnesses.

Good for skin -

  • It kills germs, which include acne/pimple-causing bacteria. Regular usage (in diluted form) effectively reduces the appearance of acne & pimples and also prevents their reappearance.
  • Once acne & pimples are healed, we are left with stubborn spots and marks. And treating them is more difficult than treating acne, because they are mostly indented deep into our skin, and take a lot of time to disappear completely. But Neem Oil can fasten that process. Using it on your face twice/thrice a week will help reduce dark spots & acne scars.
  • Rubbing diluted Neem oil in prickly heat, rashes, and sunburns is also highly effective, as it kills microbes surrounding the affected areas, hence allowing your skin to breathe freely again. Regular usage of Neem Oil during summers further ensures that problems related to heat do not show reappearance on your skin.
  • Taking a bath with water mixed with Neem Oil eliminates odor-causing germs, keeping you refreshed throughout the day. You can also rinse your mouth with neem oil and water to get rid of bad breath, cavity-causing microbes, and tooth decay.

Good for hair -

  • Mix Neem Oil with a carrier oil to massage your hair. Doing so will help you get rid of scalp infections, flakes, dandruff, lice infestations, et cetera.
  • Its aroma also helps eliminate the odor of sweat during summers. After shampooing your hair, rinse with neem oil water.
  • Neem oil also provides strength to your hair, making it lustrous, long, and shiny. You can massage your hair with it (mixed with a carrier oil) and let it sit overnight. Next morning, wash it off.

Good for the body -

As mentioned before, neem’s health benefits know no bounds. It is truly a blessing to humankind. Regular usage of Neem Oil (oral consumption) strengthens immunity, reduces cholesterol, prevents gut infections, keeps the heart healthy, keeps the eyes healthy, and keeps your body healthy.

How to use it?

  • Mix with water to bathe or rinse your mouth.
  • Mix 2-3 drops with a glass of water for oral consumption.
  • Mix with carrier oils/creams/gels for external application.
