Who doesn’t love calm and peace in their life, right? But today’s exhausting and busy life won’t let us live in peace. Even if we want to try some recreational activities, we are always running out of time. So then what should one do? Because ignorance is not the answer, and time constraint is a real problem too. Well, essential oils might be the miracle you are looking for! Get to know about 4 relaxing, calming, and soothing essential oils in this blog, and adopt a positive change in your hectic life!

  1. Lemongrass Essential Oil 
  • Pleasant aroma - You can use Lemongrass Oil for aromatherapy to relieve stress, fatigue, and anxiety. Its calming aroma also makes it great to be used as an effective sleep-inducer. You can rub a few drops on your temples or pulse points to relieve headaches, nausea, uneasiness, and migraines. 
  • Great for Your Body - Lemongrass Oil regulates blood sugar levels. It is highly effective to treat digestive problems, thus preventing indigestion, constipation, etc. This oil is super rich in antioxidants, which prevent your body from free radical damage, hence preventing several diseases. 
  • Disinfects - Dilute a few drops with some clean water on infected cuts, wounds, or bruises. Mix with bath water to eliminate body odor. Make a mixture of 6-7 drops with the right amount of water to make a DIY air-purifying spray.

  1. Lavender Oil
  • Aromatherapy - Add 4-5 drops to a diffuser to relieve stress and anxiety. It will help with irregular sleeping patterns too, even insomnia. In case you are feeling down, lavender oil’s fragrance will soothe nausea, uneasiness, headaches, and other discomforts. 
  • Antimicrobial - It kills bacteria and other germs. Thus, it is great to be used for the treatment of acne, pimples, dark spots, and hyperpigmentation. To disinfect a cut, bruise, or wound, dilute it with some water, and wash off the infected area. 
  • Healer - Lavender Oil has been found to be highly effective in the treatment of skin diseases such as eczema, sunburns, blisters, and boils. (Always use in diluted form). When used with hair oils, it also heals the scalp and promotes new hair growth.

  1. Rose Essential Oil
  • Great aroma - Add some drops of Rose Essential Oil to a diffuser to get relief from stress and anxiety. Its pleasant aroma will help you have a good sleep, and a relaxed mind. Rose Oil’s scent is found to improve sex drive, kill air-borne germs, and keep your home smelling fresh for lasting hours. 
  • Oral Hygiene - Dilute a few drops with a bath water to get rid of body odor and sweat-led germs. You can also use Rose Essential Oil as a DIY deodorant, and rub 1-2 drops on your temples, neck, and pulse points. 
  • Good for skin & hair - When used with carrier oils/gels/creams, this oil has been found to improve skin texture and quality. You can also massage your hair by mixing any hair oil with some drops of Rose oil to prevent hair fall, and enhance texture & volume.

  1. Peppermint Oil -
  • Improves mood - This oil’s soothing fragrance, thanks to the menthol content, makes it perfect to ease nausea, uneasiness, headaches, and vomiting sensations. 
  • Good for Your Gut - Including Peppermint Essential Oil in your diet keeps your gut healthy, by keeping troubles such as indigestion, nausea, and constipation away. 
  • Aromatherapy - Add 4-5 drops to a diffuser to relieve stress, anxiety, and fatigue. You might also notice an improvement in your sleeping pattern. 
  • Antimicrobial - Dilute 2-3 drops with water to disinfect cuts, bruises or wounds. You can also use it to clean cooktops, floors, doors, or tables. Its strong aroma makes it efficient to keep scalp infections and lice away.
