Evergreen rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) has needle-like leaves and a woodsy scent. It is one of the most widely used aromatic and therapeutic plants globally. Rosemary's essential oil, which contains the essence or fundamental elements of the plant, is extracted and sold in the form of essential oils.

  • Aromatherapy - Add 6-8 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil to a diffuser/humidifier to relieve stress, anxiety, and tension. Its refreshing aroma soothes fatigue, and it might even help treat nausea, headache, uneasiness, and heaviness.
  • Boosts hair growth - Rosemary essential oil, when used regularly on hair (mixed with a carrier oil) prevents free radicals from attacking your hair follicles, hence preventing hair fall, hair loss, and even alopecia. Moreover, it also promotes hair growth and provides luster, volume, and health.
  • Relieves pain - Rosemary has been traditionally used to treat pains caused due to gout, arthritis, and general join/muscle pain. When used as an essential oil, mixed with a carrier oil, it relieves internal inflammation, prevents stretch marks, and keeps your skin even and smooth.
  • Treats respiratory problems - The components of rosemary oil known as eucalyptol (1,8-cineole) and camphor help widen the airways in your lungs and improve airflow. As a result, it aids in treating the symptoms of sinusitis and respiratory allergies, as well as clearing out chest and nasal congestion, and lowering coughing, colds, and sore throats. Additionally, rosemary oil has an antispasmodic quality (alleviates muscle spasms) that is effective in treating bronchial asthma.
  • Eliminates odor - You can use Rosemary essential oil as a DIY room freshener, by mixing it with some water in a spray bottle. Or if you want to get rid of body odor, add a few drops to bath water. This oil is also good to eliminate bad breath. Simply rinse your mouth with a mixture of water of 2-3 drops of rosemary oil.
